I grew up at the beautiful Jersey Shore (learn more about me here) and there’s really nothing like it. There’s something about having the beach so close to you (10-15 minute drive), having the ability to go there whenever you want (although I’ve only been able to go a couple times this summer), feeling the sand and the water beneath your toes (even though it’s normally so cold ha) and looking for seashells and seaglass, especially when it’s low tide. The older I get, the more I appreciate being so close to the beach.
This weekend I was FINALLY able to go (again, this has only been my second time there this summer), but I’m hoping to go a few more times during Labor Day weekend. There’s something so calming and relaxing about the beach. As soon as my feet touched the sand, I was instantly relaxed and the weather was beautiful.
I’m all about comfort when it comes to bathing suits and this black and white bikini from SheIn, is one of my favorites in my collection. Not only because it’s comfortable and fits TTS, but also because the tube top ties in the back, which makes it great for sunbathing on your stomach without fear of tan lines. I’ve linked a similar one here. My outfit would not be complete without this floppy beach hat from Modern Vintage Boutique. I love the detail on this hat and it also helps protect your face when you need a break from the sun. I’ve linked a similar one here.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend and soak up the last week of summer doing what you love.
